RESTO My Carbon Fiber X4's

Thanks guys. Hopefully today will be a little warmer. The little bit of water in the hull never thawed yesterday even with my little heater running.

I've ordered a couple more odds and ends from Minnetonka4me to go with that new tank. I'm also keeping my eye out for a nice set of orange vents.

Dude, I thought I had a bunch of Seadoo Parts, you SIR are parts king in my book)) I'll have to show my fiance that if she complains about my stash (when she moves in in a month). I keep mine in my sealed/conditioned crawl space.

I've never sown the real extent of it because the mess is embarrassing. I have whole rooms full that you can't even walk around in. This year I'll sift it all out.

Jettrim said they are gonna remake that cover because they were not happy with the fit. If I take this build half as seriously as Jettrim and the carbon fiber guy(trim tab guy also) did I'll have a nice ski here.

No this is my fun work. Unfortunately I have real work pulling at me all the time but I need to make progress there also. The temps should be under control next week and I'll keep it coming together.

I need to get on the ball with mine but it's so cold every time I have some free time to work on it .

OK the seat is done. It is the greatest X4 seat ever devised, built, and owned(my humble opinion). It is the most expensive X4 seat(fact). Haha, the pain of the expense will ease but the Quality will always be there. The custom mats were $130

Thanks guys! I'm in love with it. I really couldn't be happier with it. And in case you thought they just got lucky..... here is the one they made for my Big Red GSX

Dang, these are quite sexy. I see the large "humps" on both seats, is this just to keep you in a forward riding position for better cornering? To keep you from sliding off the back under the acceleration? I really dig the gsx seat!

No I wanted some real back support. I'd like to spend a lot of time on these seats. They are both "medium slip" on top so they have some grab but they won't tear your legs up if your just cruising in shorts. I sat on the skis in my cruising position and marked where the humps needed to start before I shipped the seats to them.

Minne came through with the orange plastics to go with the new T tank. I'm pretty set now I just need to get back to work on it.

Seadoodoc- you are welcome to duplicate any of it as you see fit. There is more to the seat then a cool shape though it is actually functional. The rear of it passes a lot of air. Minnetonka4me's brother Jess(99SPXXX) has the only other air induction seat that I know of in person. I've seen one other in old photos on the ski with stripes that Terri from Poppy covers designed(and I copied). They were made by Jettrim originally. The pre-787 race engines had a problem with the ball n socket exhaust mount leaking and killing rpm. I also have a couple under seat vents from that era with an electric exhaust fan called "Jersey Mikes" to help with the old fume issue. Jess' has a little orange in it and was sent back to JT and customized first and I offered to buy it before I had my version made. My frame was cracked so I spent an additional $100 getting a fiberglass repair done from a Havasu collision shop that Jettrim recommended. I can't get the darned pic of the vent to load but I'll show it once I get it in hand.

IDo- riding on my hump is invite only but it can be done :lols:

I've got the hood in hand. He made a carbon visor for me but waited on drilling the holes because it looks good with or without. I got the R&D steering stem installed also, more pics later.

He cleaned up a plastic yellow oem visor for me as well so that gives me a third option.

You should keep a rag in the storage bin to wipe people's drool off that hood.

Ha thank you. I was a little bummed at the "fit" though. I just set it on there but I could tell all the seam lines will not be even. I'll center it the best I can but that was just a little bummer.

You guys held out on the Westcoast exhaust tip also. I would have loved to had the new one but I do hope you find a way to reproduce them. I have an old one luckily but it's a little beat up and my last one.

I'm glad to see the Jess seat again. I was describing it so I'm glad it's here to see. Appreciate the props also. I'll get some pics soon.
