Hi
You may want to post in two stroke section to get a wider audience to help VS the meet/greet section.

You could add what parts have been changed and what has been done to machine.

It seems this year with the 787 the voltage regulator is causing a lot of issues. Its in one of the boxes where electronics are.
SeaDooLou or Seadoobuddy my chime in and help further. You can test it by removing one of the wires and see if it runs better.
Otherwise something about the pickup on the magneto needs to check on the 787. So front cover has to come off.

Another question is get compression numbers when and if rave valves have taken off and cleaned. As well as carburetor?
Have you changed the grey fuel lines to black ones. Ethanol does not like the grey lines. Also, clean/inspect fuel valve.

That should get a better idea of what is going on. Post a video helps too.

As my "friend" ocod has stated there has been a rash of rectifiers going bad this season and mostly on 96-97 SeaDoo's. An easy test to see if it's the rectifier is disconnect the red wire and see if the problem clears. The rectifier is located in the front E-box next to the MPEM.

A word of caution, make sure you have a fully charged battery as the battery will not charge with the red wire disconnected.

Lou

Hi Purple_people_eate

Thank you for the reply....

Just pulled my records. Let me know what you think.

9/2/2011 R&R Top End - Cylinder Exch top end kit - $948.00 (Took one month to get ski back)
9/17/2012 Replaced starter - $280.00 (Had to bring ski back 3 times in 4 days for this one)
9/23/2011 R&R Carbs - Oring outter - w/ New Fuel Lines - $368.00
4/3/2012 Brass rotary gear may be slipping which caused
latest problem. Might need new motor. Cleaned Carbs for rough running.... rotary valve timing reset and
now runs great. $255.00 Starter does not seem to be engaging right... Fly wheel
and Starter replaced in Sept. 2011

Now on 4/16/2012 they told me oil ratio to rich. Switch to 46:1

Everything stated above was right from the work orders.
With every problem I had (yes every one of them) they never
fixed it the first time and I had to drop my ski off over and over and
over.

So I paid $255 for the latest on going problem and the ski is still
not fixed.

Just about a year and and I have been in the water maybe 45
min. tops all together.

I fully understand problems happen, boats , cars etc. but to pay for
a job and have to bring it back every time over and over.... I just want to
enjoy my ski.... is this treatment normal???

Thanks for any advice

I don't know where you are in the USA but I would stop going to this dealer. He's got your number and $$$$$$$$
Find a independent mechanic or get some one from this forum to work on it, so you can enjoy the summer of 2012.

Yeah you're getting ripped man. From what your describing I think your starving for fuel. Did they mention working on or cleaning the fuel selector? Also ask them what Carb rebuild kits they use.

sethsmind - You can send anyone a private message. Just left click over their name in a thread or click tools by your name , then look on left side for "send message" and go from there.

Take the battery to any auto parts store and they will "load test" it for you....should be free.
