Thanks guys. It sat around and got dusty. I used an alt seat because I want to get the tuning done before I use the custom Jettrim one.
The first thing I noticed is how it sat higher in the water. There was a lot more space between the bond line and the water. I was able to sit my 215lbs on it and still not have water run into the footwells. When I fired it up it was loud. It sounds like a racer for sure, not gonna be sneaking up on any wildlife that's for sure. The vibration was not too bad but it's still a little like a dragster engine in a pool play toy.
I had the wife with me on the RXX so I felt confident heading down the river a few miles. It was not terribly far off on the carb adjustments just a little rich. I was able to cruise around and it was all there when I stabbed the throttle. I was delighted that it felt fast and handled OK but I didn't push things too hard. I will try to dial it in through carb adjustments and then measure the performance with this setup before I rip it back apart.
The Bad: The steering was out of adjustment but that's an easy fix. It leaks! that sucks I tried to seal everything well. I'll deal with that hopefully it's all coming from one location. The flywheel is still grinding on the starter and it drags. I've got a fancy battery in there but the drag still pulled the voltage down to where I lost spark and it would not start when I went to load it back on the trailer.
