RESTO My Carbon Fiber X4's

Alright, not as smooth as I've seen but I guess you can at least access it.

Yes I have a lightweight pto and a aluminum flywheel. Unfortunately my starter does not mesh well with the flywheel. It makes an awful noise turning over but I just can't dive back in right now. I'll have to pull the engine up to swap pipes so I'll address it then but I should have checked it.

As long as I was dropping the ball on testing I missed the fact that this good looking fuel gauge does not work. And when I went to take it out...

So I had to trim it. It turned out decent but I liked the brow. At least now it's serviceable.

Got the Jettrim mats on

Hey your ass end pics looks hot Matt, now let's get a profile shot, please, I want to see the curves of that X4. C'mon, I'm not buying the back of the car, I want to see the sides too, lol. Showcase it!

I just pulled one that looked good out of the bucket, painted it and bolted her up. On stock 787's I can sneak in there and get the starter in and out while the motor is in(and the carbs still on). This one has the engine stuck tight in the rails and the front bar for the motor mount blocks access to the bolts.

I should have tested it but it tack starts and will be fine until I get some other testing done. That way I can tear back in and make the adjustments and swaps collectively. The pump has to be pulled to lift the engine up right and I will likely try a different pitched impeller one I where I'm at with this one. I also feel a little uneasy about that carbon rotary valve. I should take it out and trim the stock one to it's shape for the long haul if I like it's performance.

My real problem is having a home I just bought up the street that sits empty and needs a lot of work. I've got to drop the wrench and pick up a hammer to get my family in there. I wanted to fix it up first but that's not gonna happen now after I've caught a glimpse of my staggering tax bill. It's a little cold still for testing and tuning anyway.

I do want to find some nice hull decals and such so please hit me up if you guys see any cool purplish or orange(ish).

Racer it's just not finished yet and the back of my tree service is no place for a pictorial.

A little update here. I brought it home and parked it in the carport kicking the old Rover outside. I'm afraid of putting that first scratch on the orange bottom so I stuck a couple old covers between the trailer rails and the ski.

The yellow SEA-DOO under rail decal was just not doing it for me. I put it a little too far forward and it was just a little too small and simple.

So I got these after I missed out on those OEM ones. I'm happy with them

The reg #'s I ordered were WAY too large. I've got to take the loss and re-order smaller

Oh and my "tough" Slippery brand cover is not so tough. It had seen to much sun to stretch on a winter day

Well this is just some decal issues being worked out it's not a finished product. I'll take it to the sign shop and see what they can do for me.

It's looks awesome. I actually really like the yellow Seadoo decal

96 XP800!
Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Matt a nozzle set up like this would look awesome on this boat. Some paint and polishing compound and your done. Gives the tail end some bling

Plus it's just a R&D nozzle set. I've bought and sold 10 to 15 of them in the last couple years and let the other 10 to 15 I've seen go by.

My Solas brand nozzles trump it by a mile. I'm the only one I know of with new Solas nozzles(much less a NOS Solas pump). The only other Solas nozzle I've ever seen is the other used one I have.

Performance is a must but I also get off on the rare stuff.

I just had to brag. Look at what this guy dug out and offered up... http://www.ebay.com/itm/KIT-GTI-JET...Personal_Watercraft_Parts&hash=item3f47df5554

I'm with you. I know it's nothing special I just saying the color scheme would look good with your orange hull.

Yup, as in ride it one day and you'll be polishing it the next day to keep it looking polished. It'll literally look dull after the first ride out.

That picture was taken after a season of riding. Just wipe it down with the rest of the ski after riding.

Yeah it does look good. Usually I end up swapping the nozzle combos several times while tuning. If I end up with a common, ugly nozzle that's faster I can see doing something like that to tie it in.

I've got a little movement here. I received the Jet-Pro pipe back from the welder. This guy does some classy work. My rear fitting is now the stinger and the other one is connected to the now pressure tested water jacked. It would still need to be dented to work with with this particular ski if I choose to do that.

Then I took it in to the local sign guy who does a lot of vinyl work. We talked about a lot of things and he took a lot of measurements. I'm way too wishy washy on this side of it. The only thing I feel good about is putting the registration #'s on the rear deck. He has a purple sparkle that matches the Jettrim purple disco real well so I want to follow that purple part of the seat on down the hull with a gap to accommodate the orange/purple reg #'s.

I need to do something on this bare yellow visor. He is talking stripes?!? I would do this but it's not realy a XP more then a SPX http://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-SEADOO..._Watercraft_Parts&hash=item43d8177052&vxp=mtr

I vote visor carbon wrapped or if you have a real CF one. Would look best to me to have that as the lightweight high$$ center piece on ski.
