This thread is for all those who want to say how fast their boat can go. Post a picture of a GPS screen for proof and the model/year of your boat. Who'll be the first to post.

I finally got around to posting my picture, here ya go. I am proud of this one too because: Loaded down with gear from the mother in law, 5 bodies including me, and not so calm water. My speedo was indicating 62 at its fastest, just shows how much they are off.

Nice, maybe its hard to believe huh? well I couldn't take a picture but I did 35.2 on my GPS (with my girlfriend, and both kids, 14, and 8), now next time Ill take a picture... 1995 Sea Doo Sportster

My 95 speedster speedo was reading 55 with just me in the boat the other day on very calm water I weigh 235lbs. I don't think its all that acurate though, probably more like 50 -52 but who knows, I don't own a gps.

I can hit 45mph on GPS with my 1997 Speedster that has never ending starboard side cavitation issues and a port engine that wont rev until I plane and with both engines around 125-135psi. I can't wait until this thing actually runs right. Should be FUN. I will post pic of GPS speed (not that 45mph is anything to brag about in Speedster) next time I go out.

I will grab GPS and post pic after this weekend. I hope more jump into this thread ... I'm betting the speedster will hold the title for a little while :reddevil:

Sorry guys, I got you all beat. My boat was officially clocked at 78mph. At least that is what the state trooper that pulled me over said.

Interstate speeds shouldn't be allowed LoL!! You have to have a pic of your pwc/boat actually in water!!

GPS'ed my 97 Speedster yesterday (no Pic) and in semi chop I got 44mph on the GPS while the speedo showed ~50.. Makes me wonder if they intentionally up the speedo reading to inflate performance specifications.
Just a thought!

3 people, 40 gallons of gas, upriver in fairly smooth water my 99 speedster gps'ed 53mph. I will never post a pic because it will never turn out. With just me and maybe 10 gallons of fuel I'm betting easily 55-56mph.

I have found with my boat that it reads a good 7 mph faster than what I am actually doing. For my 1997 Challenger 1800, loaded with 5 people, gear, and food. I am doing 53mph on the gps. I'd love to try it with just me one day on a smooth lake.

This thread is useless without pictures. I think that was the whole point, we all make claims, but without a picture, it is just that, another claim.

Post pics, especially those that say they can do 70 with 4 people in the boat. Someones got to have a free hand to hold the GPS and another to take the pic!! (smile)

I agree, That's why I said post a picture for proof. What cell phone doesn't have a camera on it these days?

I haven't seen anything that needs backed up with proof yet. It would be the crappiest most unreadable pic ever. Unless you boat on a glass like lake.

Yeah clear as can be....?? Is it 45? 44? 43?? I can keep my boat on plane at about 24mph...do I get a cookie for that?

Have all of your gauges always worked - I'm jealous just seeing all the needles moving!

The speedo needle moves, though I don't know how accurate it is (but it looks good). The tachs bounce all over. The fuel gauge did not work when I got it, I had to take out the fuel sender and jumper the fuse on the internal circuit board. That was a good feeling to see that fix work.

Looks like 45 to me ... with a little throttle left to go to ...

I'd say it was 43. I don't let my kid's hit the wall with the throttle. I've seen it go to about 47, surprisingly, while going upstream. Maybe the current makes the speedo read faster. I have the tracks from my GPS and they don't read as high.

I saw 54 mph today on GPS but only have a photo at 50mph, its hard to take a pic by yourself that fast on this small lake ...

Here yah go ... tough to see I know ...

BTW has to be photo of GPS, my gps read 50-54mph .. but dash was showing over 60mph.

Well, my official entry to this thread is 46 mph with just me and my Dad in the boat. Wish it was faster but only getting about 6800RPMS. Maybe more one day.

Just added the updated picture, went faster this time.
