Im posting for help with a seadoo I'm working on for a friend. He dropped off a 1995 seadoo gtx. He rebuilt the motor and every thing worked fine til one day it cut off on him so he thought it was the fuel system. Asked me to go through it and clean it all, which I did. Still didn't help. Next thing I checked was spark, no spark. Have strong power going to the coil but my test light barley lights up when I turn it over and put it onto the spark plug wire cap. Replaced the coil but same problem, power to coil but very faint power leaving and going to the spark plugs. Never had this happen before and nobody else seemed to have this same problem.

There is a wire that goes from the MPEM To the coil I believe on a 657 it is white, take that wire off the coil and see if you have spark, if you do the rev limiter circuit in the MPEM is bad and you will need to replace the MPEM.
