We Where the middle man on this job for another shop that he's was using we don't do yamaha, we made an exception because we where told it was a good core! the parts (cylinders)we got were unusable, we communicated every step with him and he seem to be good because he said he was away. we found good cylinders and sent it back with the power valves in the box. I think they threw them away with the packing paper so I found another set, We didn't charge any extra for any of this. I don't know what to do to make this guy happy,He just snaped. I'm already $485.00 in the red on this job. and I have the cylinders I could give you guy pics if need be.

Like i said, I can send yall emails from me trying to get ahold to this guy, and asking him for my parts.Tell me this Tom where did you "steal parts from another motor for me" when you don't do yamaha? that don't make much sense, and besides, if you don't do yamaha, then why accept to do the job? As anyone in this forum can see it's lie after lie with this guy. Yes I was using another shop to do my engine pulling and all because I'm no mechanic. Maybe thats why i hired someone to rebuild my engine.

Lets see who is full of crap Tom. --

Put the tracking number on here for everyone to see so they can see where you supposidly " shipped the parts you replaced for me for free". My shop is in Vidor texas everyone. So when he post it go check it out.

or

Ship me my parts!!!! and put that tracking number on her for everyone to see. I would GLADLY let everyone know you did me a favor and gave me my parts back.

I found another set at the Yamaha shop in Trenton new jersey you can call Dennis and ask him. we took the job because you said it was a perfect core, and I thought easy money, you can put the edited emails up but don't for get I have a copy of them too. instead of trying to work it out like gentlemen. you bash us on here, its pretty obvious your a hot head. I don't have anything to lie about, we sent the power valve USPS I guess i should have done u.p.s. so I could prove i sent them because I'm sure you won't be honest and say you received them
i didn't think i would be going threw this nonsense with you.

My engine and money is already in their hands, I will report factual items.

So far they have been professional and helpful.

Recieved my 717 engine back from Tom at SES today, delivered to his location on 9/26/11 and back to me on 10/10/11. Engine looks great, he removed and replaced pto and flywheel and timed engine for me at no extra expense. If this engine runs as good as it looks it will run another 16 years. Tom answers all questions and was extremenly helpfull with all my questions. Reminded him that he was going to send a used pto boot and rotary valve cover o-ring and he was going to put that in the mail today. I'm an older guy who raced go-carts in the "60s and have a little 2 stroke experience, this guy really impressed me with his knowledge.

That's great. The Mid 1960's were about 50 yrs ago, if you are riding ski's you still must feel young at heart...me too.

How are engines usually shipped....USPS , UPS, Fed-x????

What's the costs?

Shipped UPS, great turn around time, can't wait to fire this thing up. You are right, I'm an old fart that loves to go fast and scare the hell out of my wife and family, probably has something to do with my time in the Marines. This guy was extremely helpfull and will go with again pending performance on this rebuild. Wished I had pictures when I went totally underwater last year passing a big cruiser, my son still doesn't believe it. You are only as old as you feel!!!!!!!!!!!

parts

always waiting on 'parts'...

my choke, throttle, steering parts are on the way. still need a washer and clip for the hood, but I'm sure a zip tie will hold... no idea how long the hood shock has been missing that clip / washer...

I think I'd need a vice and drill press to accomplish that... my cordless would just walk all over the pin.

I've never had one come off before, but the shop mine was at, I wouldn't doubt it if they just forgot to put it back, or didn't care...

it's a good idea; i just don't currently own a drill press... I'd like to, and a regular press, and a pressure washer... but.... if i don't pay the house part first, i won't have anywhere to put all the stuff anyway! :)

Completed the installation of the 717 that was rebuilt by Tom at SES. This engine looks good, sounds good, and starts immediately. I had several phone conversations with Tom concerning both the rebuild and operation of the machine in general, he is extremely professional and willing to help. I will definitely use him for my 787 rebuild.

...

Harbour Freight has a multiple speed press that did really well against other brands and was around $200. I have it and it workes really well.

Also though I would add, that our premium engines come with a 2 year no fault.

You know, i just got a 951 engine delivered and I didn't order it....

thanks......

OK, OK J/K .... :)

Just got another 951 back from them (my 3rd) and it looks fine. This one will actually be my spare, so its going on a shelf. Pics coming soon. But I do have 2 951 engines from SES to break in and I will report my findings as soon as its warm enough to ride.

I need my 787 rebuilt and I have a hole directly below one of the pistons. So that will need to be repaired and the entire engine rebuilt . Can't afford Sbt but can't throw money away on something that is shotty or will take three months. Kinda stuck at tbs moment looking for answers .you haven't ran anything from them yet ?
