Good info, I'm about to paint my 97 gts hood sea doo purple again and was wondering if I should go base coat clear coat...is the flexing agent in the paint already? Or do you have to add it?

I have become an expert at reviving these sun faded hulls just check out the pictures. This hood was the worst hood I have come across and i got it to look brand new. I did the right half of the xp and left the left half untouched to show how dramatic the difference was. I think i could start a hull detailing business lol. a lot of elbow grease $12 in marine grade vinyl and looks like new

yeah but how did you do it?????

The flexing agent is an additive. Just take the hood to a sherwin williams automotive paint store and show them your hood, they will recommend the right paint and additive for the type of plastic youre painting. You will need to wet sand the hood and then wipe it with acetone to remove all wax and residue. Then prime and then wet sand again then I would give it at least 3 coats and wet sand between coats. For the best finish it is all about prep work.
