Hi evrybody (first of all, sorry if I make mistakes but I am french :))

I have a GTX DI (year 2000) that I used for several years (approx 120 hours of use).

The RPM of the motor seems to be normal mais the moto is not running fast at all. When I push up the accelerator to the max, I actually just go to 25 MPH (40 Km/h).

When I had this issue, I was using it for 5 minutes; and I was at 50 MPH (80 km/h) and "boum" in one second I was not able to go faster.

What should be the issue ?

I would like to take off the airscrew to check this part. Do you know where I could find documentations to do that please ?

If you have any other idea, please let me know ! :)

Thanks

It sounds like you are describing cavitation. 3 things can cause cavitation.
1) You sucked up something into the pump while riding. Check from underneath and nozzle-side for any objects.
2) Wear ring. Check gap between impeller and wear ring.
2) Carbon seal went bad.

:agree: Should be a simple fix. The plastic ring around the impeller is probably just worn out. Simple fix you can do yourself or take to any jet ski type shop.
