Apparently I'm in the market for a new truck as well

A guy ran a red, t-boned us on the driver's side and we rolled over. Everyone is fine, other than being wicked sore. My wife was trapped for a bit, as you can see the passenger side roof was caved in. The guy said he wasn't looking. Said he was talking to his daughter who was also in his van. Thanks god she was ok. Weird being on this side of accidents though.

Seat belts save lives. Wear 'em. I wonder if the civic can pull the boat for the rest of the summer lol.

atleast the people are ok, a car can be replaced. Depends what civic if it has vtec you are good to go lol.

Ouch!! As said already trucks are replaceable people are not.

That truck did its job and kept you all safe from a unsafe driver, give it a pat goodbye and thank it.

Wow... ripped the drive shaft right out of the trans.

Glad you are OK.

I see a shop van in the background. At least you have someone to chase for the extra $$$ needed to replace it, if your insurance doesn't cover a new truck.

They specialize in flooring. I need some new flooring upstairs. Maybe he'll give me a deal eh?

WOW, how you got away all safe is a miracle.
your right, the new technology, seat belts and for bikes Helmets saves lives.

PS....Jake is looking for a new truck too.

Sorry I didn't see this until now, I happy no one was hurt, it musta scared the crap out of you. I think it may take a little more than buffing, you might need to also call the Dent Wizard.

Safelite Auto Glass comes right to your location. They got this glass chip filler that will make that windshield look like new!

Holy cow. Glad everyone is ok. Good luck truck hunting. Thought about getting my wife out of her SUV into a car. This changed my mind right quick.

This will work, right?

Just back from the hospital, we both checked out ok. I thought Cathe had a concussion but they said the headache was from the neck strain and the ringing in her ear was from the bang at impact.

The guy who hit us came to the house this morning with a card and a gift certificate. Said he couldn't sleep without seeing we were ok. He says we didn't just roll over, but went airborne, flipped twice, and landed on the roof.

I'm trying to keep this light, it's the second time in 10 years I had to ask my wife if she was still alive. I couldn't see her through the caved in roof from my side of the truck. Twice is enough. Thanks for the well wishes, glad to walk away with nothing more than strains and bruises, and maybe a new truck.

Dbrac--WOW, glad you guys are OK and I can only hope I never have to ask my wife that same question.

As far as the Avenger towing the boat, of course it will, it's a rental! Rentals can do everything YOUR car/truck could never do.

Insurance is mandatory in Ontario. And there's some weird rules about who's company pays who, regardless of fault. We are covered, but it was an older truck, so I'm sure we won't get much. Sucks, it wasn't the prettiest beast but it ran perfect. Oh well, life goes on.

If it ran well, you can buy it back from the insurance comp. ....real cheap..... and part out the motor, tires, etc then haul/tow the body to a junk yard or crusher.

glad all are OK. I'm looking for a RAM 1500, what year is that? maybe we can work a deal :)

Sorry, just saw this. It's an 04. Comes with free "scratch pens," good tires, automatic sliding rear window, may need a wheel alignment for safety cert. Best Offer.

I'll ask them about that. A guy at the scene asked me if he could have the engine.

Wow that had to be very scary with your wife. My parents were t-boned in 1980 on the passenger side, my mother did not survive. You are very fortunate to walk away from that with just some bruises.
