We got some work done today.

First off RJ ordered some aluminum bar stock, he grinded some bad welch plugs off and cut some new ones on the band saw. We are dropping off the pipes to be welded.

Rj cut them off himself because the last guy that welded for us just built up material around what was there. This way we know it is all new material and should be done right.

Some new mats were installed.

99 spx that we got a couple weeks ago now has 2 toned hydroturf that was ordered from pwc muscle.

The spx still needs the rub rails and hand bar to cleaned up and we need to get ahold of Mike at pwcgraphics or I think his name on here is RatFink for the spx decal for the deflector.

Next was a 96 gtx that we got a couple days before the 99 spx. Just went wih plain black and these also came from pwc muscle.

That's the way to do it. I assume you guys are using a standard grinding wheel on your angle grinder. If so swap to one of these. You can get they pad perfectly level for the new plug, plus you don't get the dig and run marks on the outside of the plug(see purple pipe). This style is much more forgiving, my 95 pipe had dig marks so I got a clean one from another 95.

Hey just call Mike at 574-255-0500 he said he hasn't been back on the forum in a while. It's his busy season. He also has matching reggie numbers too for the 99 SPX

And a set of oem seadoo mats. These were actually an option for the 99 xp, when I was doing the 99 spx resto racerxxx found these on ebay. The auction title showed that they were for a 99 spx, I bought them and when they got here I knew they were for a different hull style. The paper work that came with them listed 4 different models, so I assume they printed one paper for all the models they were making them for and the seller just went with the first model. Anyway it was also missing the yellow circle so we cut a circle out of black and put it on.

These also did not have the psa on them. We only buy them with psa but this was an impulse buy. Any way we used weldwood per recommendation of Minnetonka4me. It was simple. We laid the mats where they were going to go and I traced them with a pencil onto the hull. I then brushed the glue on the mats and then inside my pencil stenciled area of the hull. I let the glue tack up and then applied them. One thing i would do differently now is brush the glue on the hull first and then the mats. The mats seemed to tack up alot sooner then the hull did.

Thanks for the tip on the grinder. I will give Mike a call but I am only going to get the hood decal. The reg numbers would be cool but I am selling these and I do not see myself getting that money back out of the deal.

The 99 spx we just got is already gone. $2000 to SeaScum right before he came we cleaned up the spx and put in a new start button cover. The one on it was crappy.

Great doing business with you guys. Didnt get back in time to hit the lake before sunset, hopefully Ill get some seat time tomorrow after work.

ewest edition. The price was so good I didnt even cutoff the shrink wrap before I bought it. I was really surprised when I saw the condition.

That is after 4 years under the shrink wrap. The hood is almost perfect. The seat is really clean and the handlebar pad I will actual be able to get clean. I picked this up on the way to work, on break I ran out to unwrap it.

Matt, That's sweet looking. The PO must have kept it inside :)
I have a Chevy Trailblazer also....2008.

Under the seat was not as pretty. The owner told me the motor is blown. we probably will not tear into it for a while, we picked up another 96 xp on Tuesday that we need to start on. We have a couple projects going on right now so we want to finish those before we start on this one.

Well this fall we are getting alot of good deals, this week alone we got 2 96 xp's and then today we picked up this 2000 gsx rfI is has really low hours. It runs but the guy said it will run fine than bog down. I assume it is the fuel pump but we need to investigate. We have not had an rfi before. This year we ventured out of element and got a 951 and now this rfi

Wow that is an amazing looking GSX and matching trailer! It should sell quick when you find the issue.

Put a fresh battery in it and it idled right about 1300. Still have not water tested or checked anything. Just fired it up. We will be using griz400 's rfi thread to trouble shoot it.
