As a country full of free advertising and great deals, depending on where you live, Craigslist is a advertising site I stay away from. Here, I have tried to use them for hard to find parts for older skis, along with a few other things. In the long run, I was always burnt. Never lost any real had currency, but the item advertised, never lived up to be what they described it as.

Not saying you can't find that good deal, just be very wary of what your looking for, and go over it with a fine tooth comb. Per se, if someone advertising a great deal on an HX or XP, take along a compression gage and tell the owner you'd like to do a test. If they say o.k., then the sell may be on the up and up. If they refuse, be wary they are trying to sell a bad product.

I did not read this entire thread, but I have had some really horrible experiences cutting corners for my customers. So, buyer beware.

yea there are a ton of scams and people trying to pass off junk as a premium products, for honestly, for the most part, I don't know how to sell things without craigslist, I just don't think there is enough traffic going through other sites, other than ebay, which has tons of other cons as well. I've bought and sold cars, a motorcycle, and all my skis came from CL.

yip,,, pretty much spot on, i've even browsed thru the other sites, there is no comparison traffic wise,
@ss we appreciate your concerns, and we have the exact same ones, but if you proceed with caution, you can find very very good deals out there.
[MENTION=54149]nammer[/MENTION] yes, same for me, my wife's lexus, my daughters mustang came from CL, I sold my last 3 vehicles on CL. To be honest the only real loser in the CL era is the local classifieds, just to humor myself I glance at them from time to time (when my 70 year old dad is done reading the paper I borrow it) and the classifieds are pretty much limited to 1 old guy that has no computer selling his boat, a couple of overpriced guns, and a bunch of "personal services" listings

CL is here to stay, but it will get worse before it gets better. (well, i doubt it will get better)

1996 SEADOO XP'S w/trailer - $2400 (Kendall )

I have a pair of 1996 Seadoo XP'S. for sale. These are some of the coolest bikes ever made. They have stock motors with newly rebuilt carbs. They look great and just need a cleaning. They come with flush kits and life jackets. The trailer is in great shape. I have an extra light kit for the trailer. The skis have clear titles. Now for the bad. Both skis need wear rings replaced in the pumps. I have not had the time to do it. I know the part is very cheap like $25. The other thing is they might need to get tuned. These things are getting harder to find in stock condition. They both have new batteries, sea doo factory grips, lanyards, flush kits, oil and one comes with a new trim guage(old one is faded). I might be interested in trading for a race car(scca) or enclosed car hauler. Let me know 305302 0798.

Selling my custom paint orange 2002 gpr hull. ( only the hull), it has riva plate, stainless steel gpr800 intake grate, UMI steering, gprxp motor mounts with inter middle shaft , complete gp1300 pump with solas 14/20 prop , rear exhaust tip and hull is allready cut for seadoo motor is just drop in a seadoo engine. Hull don't have no engine.
