Usually I will call a couple times to ask additional questions and rephrase any previously answered that I deem important or suspect. I called all three of the previous mentioned sellers at least 3 times each...

as a seller, i've had a couple of people try that with me, but I wasn't born in a barn

my favorite is the lowball offer and I decline, then he says "what if I pay cash?" and i'm thinking,,, WTF did you plan on paying me with the first time ? Unless its high quality weed there isn't much interest in bartering here

I just picked a 2000 just like this for parts including a painted trailer for $500.

Get it home, do a quick clean and the body is 100x better than when you seen it covered with crap - plus
the motor was not seized as they had said so hopefully something else there.

The best part even after that? The trailer - painted black - has some areas to repaint so after closer
inspection the trailer is actually galvanized! I'm going to be able to blast the paint off and back to
galvanized! I guess the previous owner wanted the trailer to match the black in the seadoo....?!:facepalm:

Not in Canada they're not...! I was looking at a machine in Seattle that had a painted trailer. It was destroyed by rust
but the guy wouldn't sell the machine alone. I called back a few weeks later and asked the guy if he still had the machine.

He remembered me and said I was lucky I didn't buy the trailer as the guy that did buy it (he was a local) had the trailer
break in half 2 miles down the road.....and we would have had 3 hours of driving ahead of us....in a partial snowstorm
to boot, eh...YEE HAH!

Nam, I agree. A lot of times the seller will change the price in the title but not the text.
Offer $900 with trailer and see what happens....unless you don't need it

That't the real deal from SBT, a cool hundo is a good price, even has the adapters for the end of the shaft and both plates.
