So I had some bad cavitation on my 96 XP the last time out last year, but I just left it for this year as the season was over. This morning I pulled the pump off as I was going to take it to the dealer to get a new wear ring put in it. Once I got it out I didn't think it looked too bad but I'm no expert. I did find a crack in the housing and one in the corner where it mounts onto the hull. Could the crack there be related to my issues with cavitation? The cracks look to have been there for some time so I don't think this happened while taking it apart, I was careful with it too. Here are some pictures of it. I also got pictures of the impeller so the experts here can tell me what they think of that.
