so far so good... with all the great help here we are closer and closer to blazing the water.... ok..back to the question... our seat BACKS are all fine, just dirty/faded... any ideas..our color scheme was blue and white... next.... the 3-across seat bottom.. its pretty good... no tears, but the stiching has come out from thicker-bigger heavy blue main bottom, where the white butt-cushions meet the blue. but there are no tears, just seems to be in need of restiching. anyone have or know of any auto/marine upholstery places here in Lakeland that can do it for a decent price? anything less than the 900 frickn plus bucks for a replacement would be fine. how much can they charge if they can re-stretch restich ours?? this IS the ONLY cosmetic problem with our boat... thanks all!!!

Its easy to do yourself. Lots of members here have done it. Another member, Keith, makes the new covers custom cut and ready to be put on your existing seats. You can find it at seadooupholstery.com Lot of good info there too. With a few basic tools and a little knowledge, you could probably do it yourself.

Keith charges a little under $400 for all new upholstery. You do the work of replacing it.... Or you could drive up here and I will do it for $40,000...... ;-)

Yep, Keith is a good guy. Get your stuff from him, and your boat will look new.

Unfortunately, most upholstery shops will charge a small fortune to fix your boat. Over the years, I've only heard of one guy getting a good price from a local shop. More times than not... you are looking at +$1k for a shop to fix it.

One last thing... don't have a shop re-stitch the seats. The factory vinyl is going to be getting hard, and it will pull apart in a year or two.

been in communication with keep over the past week or 2... great sounding guy.... yup... 312.00 + tax.. for everything... not just the 3 across bench and forward cushion, but the 3 across bench seat backrests... he lives near my sister and not far from my 2 kids.. so, when we get the $$ together, we are going to make a date with him... 3.5 hrs away, get there super early.... drop em off.... see my sis and maybe my kids if they arent workn... he said he can do it in a few hrs... then we pay him.. get em and go on our way... can hardly wait.. not just for the seats... but to see my sis... she is a great person. i have a question about the seats.. but i will post it in a new thread...

quick tip.
As a time killer the beach is only 5 minutes from his house, after you drop it off, head east, grab a parking spot and walk the beach and grab lunch right there on the pier. (the greek salad is good) :) you have to pay to get on the pier (not worth it IMO) but the beach walk is great, its a beautiful spot ... if you don't wanna eat on the pier, thee are about 6 good options right within walking distance.
