97 GTX Intake Grate - missing

I just discovered that my intake grate in missing. What would this do to the way it runs and the speed of it?

If it was a stock grate, it missing will not be to noticeable. If it was a top loader., they tend to increase cornering. So you may feel a difference if that style fell off. The main job of the grate is to keep debris out of the pump area.

You need to see if your screw holes are stripped. If so, then you need to address this before you replace your grate.

On bigger machines its not the end of the world but Id recommend getting a replacement. I can def sell you one cheap if you decide to replace it.

Since it's already off throw a nice top loader grate on there. I love mine, keeps the ski hooked up well in chop
