Hello All...

I just bought a 1993 SeeDoo Explorer Bombardier as a restoration project. Never had a PWC like this before, but am an experienced boater with restoration experience.

I know at minimum the boat will need a new motor. I know I will need a lot of assistance from all y'all, and some direction on which course to take on the re-power will be step 1.

I am learning that the original motor on this Explorer may have been underpowered a bit.

All comments welcome. I will load photos as I take them.

Hi and welcome to the SeaDoo forum. You've come to the right place, the explorer is a little rare, but there are a few guys on the forum that own them, and the mechanics are much the same as a SeaDoo PWC.

FYI, it's SeaDoo not See Doo. When you have questions post them on the 2-stroke boat section.

Nice!! Actually its surprising how well the 580 pushes it along. BUT...the 720 slips right in. I have done the conversion and overall it was a piece of cake. You do need the 720 pipe, carbs, and ebox.

Post some pix!! Does it look as good as my old one??

Welcome to the best seadoo site out there! If I can help you with anything else just let me know.
