Went on the Colorado River was great (except for one instance, talk about that later),

then went to Lake Mohave and i think I pulled my throttle cable out, it just wont throw no gas in there when I try to start it, I went to feel the throttle line and everytime I move the throttle i dont see the throttle line moving, so im guessing its that I either got the cable off the throttle lever, or I ripped the cable?

Any suggestions? thanks by the way!

Pop the control levers out, and see if it's still connected.

FYI... when you find the issue, or replace the cable... make sure that when the lever is at full... the carb isn't bottoming out. You want the lever to stop without any extra tension on the cable.

Ok I thought I might have to do that, just remove the screws around the plate of the control levers, and remove the other screws on the bottom right?

yup. Pull the screws... and you can lift out the handles. I'm sure you will see something once they are out.

I lifted out the handles, all looks good.. i tested my throttle lever and its good... soooooo wow ... it just died, i felt it dying in the middle of the lake, like it was running out of gas???

i had about 1/4 tank left... you think thats what did it? running low on gas, it also has about 1/3 oil left?

did you try to switch to the reserve tank? I know that may sound basic... but I thought I would ask.

OR... your fuel valve could be clogged.

Also I apologize Dr. Honda, but how do unclogg a fuel valve? sorry I know I keep asking dumb questions...

Only dumb question is the one not asked.

OK... Unless they didn't have a valve in 95... Down by your foot, there is a fuel valve... right? In the middle is off. Point it up, is on... and point it down is reserve.

To unclog it... you will need to take it out, disassemble it, and clean it. (no easy way)... but with your other responce... I think we found your issue.

Sorry If I sound stupid,

Yes I do see where the "reserve" is at, I know im a total noob, and I apologize for that, but im pretty good at computers, so shoot away lol.

Now I know I am bumping my own thread, hijacked another thread, but somehow I am going to make it up to you guys!

ok i get it! Ill ask seadooya to see if he could come fix it for me, if not ill go ahead and embark on this journey anyway, remove the levers, and remove the fuel valve and blow air into it and see if its clogged..

Also that day that my boat did that, I had 4 people in it, and I didnt realize that it had a 650 pound limit, oh oh, I weigh 240, my friend johnny weighs 260, my girlfriend 100, and my other friend bryan like 240, so thats like 850, closed to 1000, hopefully I didnt burn the motor out... lol...

It acted like it was trying to go fast.. lol.... poor boat.. Im glad its my first one and its used, because after learning all this stuff, and hitting trees, rocks, water taxis in laughlin, not knowing how to launch, or leave, I feel sorry for the abuse I have been giving it!
