The paint shined up pretty easy . Going to fully wax in the morning. Today was : remove old stickers, install new tail lights and treated the black trim to back to black.
This will be my fun toy on my trip.
:rebuilt engine in 06-compression checked 4 months ago all good.
:needs seat repaired or reskinned
:needs new tires
:check bearings, no leaks and they look/spin good.
:Solas impeller installed in 09

Hard to see but the shine came back just after one pass with wax/buffer

Really nice. If it were mine I would paint the head pipe and the water box. Please don't take offence just a suggestion.

That pipe is supposed to be that color...its the non tuned pipe.

Did y'all think all the paint was gone?

Yes, I thought is was the factory pipe that had been sandblasted, the water box is also unpainted, is the water box supposed to be painted?

Lou

I always thought the factory pipe was a cast piece, and the tuned pipe was welded sheet metal, sorta like a header in a car. I guess I was wrong because it sure looks like your's is cast. Also your water box looks stock, that's why I suggested painting it also.
