In my neverending fight with this wear ring, I attempted the wood frame and bolt it down like a vise. Well shit.

I got it to within a fraction of an inch with banging on it, but it wouldn't budge after that. Took a few days off to regroup and reassess, and now this. Such a simple fix had turned into a real PITA

I've got a few extra freshwater pumps laying around that I could ut you a smoking deal on. They need a full rebuild, but it's all there. You interested?

Are they for the old style hulls without the extended mount? I bid on a 50 dollar shipped one on ebay, ends tomorrow. If it doesn't sell I'll PM you. Thanks brother

You can probably get the ear welded back on the pump but the c wear ring would have to come out.

Well the I won the jet pump on ebay, should be here anyday. It comes with a new drive shaft (this one was rusted) and a couple of other odds and ends I already had, but never hurts to have extra parts.

I've been slacking the last few weeks, waiting on parts to arrive and just generally being a lazy turd. Finally got out there again today and installed a new fuel selector. I had cleaned the old one out but the green goo had really gotten a hold of this ski and I didn't trust cleaning it out. I ordered one of those plastic fuel selectors, it was priced too cheap to pass up. Anybody had any problems with these? I know it gripped the fuel line really well, I almost couldn't get one of the hoses back off.

Other than waiting on the jet pump for install, can't really think of much else to do. Thought about taking out the fuel tank and cleaning it better, but I hate the time consuming draining with my hand pump. I'm selling it after all, doubt it's a deal breaker.

Any other ideas?

Finally got her up and running, water tested, and now posted on CL. Got a guy coming this weekend to buy her. Hopefully I'm not at the hospital with a baby!

Hopefully the Mrs. doesn't see that, LOL. If this is your first kid I'll let you in on a secret just in case no one has yet. The only thing predictable about a kid is that they are un-predictable, you can live and die by that one. Our first was a full month early.

Congrats on the ski and fingers crossed it sells!

Sold! Had to come down on price bc of a few problems it had that I felt compelled to tell the guy about. Don't want karma to bite me in the rear

Listed for 1k, sold for 860.

He only had about $500 in it. I'm gonna call this a big success. Dagre made a few bucks, learned a heck of a lot that he is already applying to other Doos, and turned a dead Seadoo into a relevant runner that's gonna make somebody real happy out there.
