Rotating the winch

Just making sure if there is anything we need to know.

We have a double trailer. The winch on the left side of the trailer is inside (it takes some reaching to rotate it). So we decided to rotate the winch completely, which put the handle outside.

Other than rotating counter-close wise to pull in the jet ski, is there anything we should know?

as long as the winch is locking, and the strap isn't binding, or sitting on something sharp... then you are fine.

My buddy did the same thing on a dual ski trailer and it works just fine.

Thanks guys. Speaking of winch, the locking piece has a spring that is worn out. Do they sell that part somewhere?

Mine was rusty and not working all the time. I coudlnt find individual parts so I just bought a new winch.

Go to a local clock repair shop, I bet they can bend some spring metal for you. Just take your old one with you...
