I just checked my shipping came to 29.50 still a pretty good deal. Mosites is 45.00 per gal. shipped. It might be worth your time to go pick up a couple of gals.

Check on eBay, mosties sells on there, free shipping. Get the part number for a gallon, then search that

Hey Dan,

I'm interested on your take of the Red Line XPSII, I've been using the new oil most of the summer I really can't tell any difference except the color and it's a little easier to see how much is in the tank. What do you think?

Lou

FYI XPSII synthetic part no. is: 293600133

LOLOL I love the posts. I have a sweet Yamalube hat too.

I use the marine formula, premix 50-1, and have burned 10 gallons since I switched from amsoil interceptor.

I burned probably 2 gallons or more in my XP thru injection and probably 3 or 4 gallons premix through the Speedster all season. No issues at all. Smells the same, tastes the same, feels the same, I'm sticking with the same. My XP started off with the "old" XPS-II for the first tank and was immediately mixed with the "new" XPS-II. Amsoil, Mystic, Citgo, Trader Joes, McDonalds or whomever, I ain't switching end of story. I used to buy in bulk from Shorts Marine in Delaware, it was out of state so I didn't have to pay tax and I would have it in a day or two, they had it listed on Amazon and on Ebay. Mosties is in PA so I'd have to pay tax. Now I just go to my dealer and get it for the same price but I pay tax ($2.70 in tax per gallon), but now I'm not out my cash up front. The dealer is like 5 miles from my house and I work from home, I know how much I have and when I need it. They could switch vendors 10 times and I'll still buy it, I'm diehard. It's easy for anyone to get, just buy it online and have it shipped for free. You all know I'm financially savvy (cheap ass), looking for a deal on ONLY OEM stuff, down to my oil. I haven't had a problem, I don't want a problem. I don't mess with my perfection, LOL. Hell, I buy NOS Seadoo fuel filters off Ebay for my Speedster since they're discontinued, that is how I am with my stuff. I know I can go to the autoparts store and get similar ones and I will when I deplete the NOS inventory still out there.

As far as Quicksilver, I honestly can't get that at my local Wally, they only carry the TC3 or whatever, and I swear those are the same bottles sitting from last year because I think they are the old label still. I think the only thing that sells at my Wally in the boat section are drain plugs. There must be a shit-ton of guys sinking boats by me.

apology

Hey guys, I just wanted to take the time to apologize for my post #15 as I truly feel I jumped the gun posting my findings that may be bad advise as well as adding to confusion Regarding oils. The info I received was simply not credible for the most part.
The part on adding 100 :1 premix along with oil injection to fuel injected motors I believe is bogus as I first hand have experienced where premix and injectors are concerned,
The PO added premix to my gsx rfi so when I drained my tank I figured it wouldn’t hurt to run 5 gal of 50 :1 premix (just to rid of it) along with 20 gal of reg fuel in my truck being diluted boy was I wrong! After about a week, trying to start my truck acted as if it was hydro locking. This happened throughout the day. My heart sank as I pretty much knew what had happened. The dreaded leaking injectors causing it to flood! So I grabbed a can of sea-foam and was able to add 14 gal of clean fuel and after a bit the issue went away. A lesson well learned! I have 2 gal left that I am going to dispose of.
So I personally am going to disregard what I posted and stick with the tried and true or of the equivalent.
Again, I apologize.

Ahhh....nice to own a 4 stroke meow. I used quicksilver full synthetic in my 98 for the 4 season i owned it. I pulled the RAVE valves every spring and they always looked good. Barely any gunk needed cleaned off and never had a thick tarnish. I was very happy with the oil. Personally, if there had been a supplier of the Mystik JT4 close to me, thats the route I would have gone. Guys from here were finding it for 20 bucks a gallon at stores.
