I have two problems. One of my skis will not start. Got them from storage put the batteries in and one didnt want to run. Swapped plugs it fired up fine. So went and bought new plugs for both, both fired fine and I thought I was good to go the one that wouldnt start first sounded a little funny. Took them out and it ran for about a min or two then wouldnt start back. Sounds like it doesnt have any compression but it does and has fire. Can smell strong fuel smell but its not blowing out plug holes.

#2 The other ski ran fine but after awhile act like it couldnt pull out. Engine would rev up but would go very fast. Shut it off was fine had this prob. at end of last year didnt think much about it. Best way I can des. its like a trans in a car slipping. Thanks for any help!

I would test the compression on both machines to see what's going on internally. They Ideally should be at 150 psi per cylinder. On the second doo, I would check the wear ring clearance . It should be at .40. Measure it from the Nozzle end, at the center of the impeller blade. it sounds like the clearance is larger then it should be, and loosing thrust. It might need a wear ring replacement. You can order one from out "parts" Link at the top of the page of you need one. The link will also give you a great look at the parts needed to remove to get to the wear ring.
