Frost warning!!!!

I get home last night and get a stupid weather alert on my phone that there's a frost warning from midnight-9am. My ski is sitting in the backyard unwinterized which throws me into a panic. I run to walmart and get some RV antifreeze and follow the shop manual procedure for the 951, put the cover on and cross my fingers. I wake up this morning and the windows on my car are all frosted.

It's only september, too early for this shit!!! I guess I'm done for the year now. She's winterized. May isn't going to come soon enough.

I winterized two of my four skis already... it was 41 this AM.

a frost warning is nothing, it would have to be below 32 for at least 4-8 hours or more to actually do damage...

winterize them, clean them up, air them out to dry, then cover for winter

so sad.

I wouldn't have winterized yet. You could have thrown a heating pad under the seat, or a low watt shop light, to keep the engine above freezing.


Oh well.... I know I don't have much longer either. But... in years past... the temps got up into the 70'd all through October. (hoping for the best)

I've only been out once on my XP, and once on my Yammi this year. Hoping to get ONE more day! Sadly it may have to be a day after work or something just to get out there.

Wow that's crazy, we have finally got a break from rain here in SC with 90 degree weather.
Frost/snow means snowboarding so at least I'll have something to look forward to in a few moths

You could get one of those 30Watt heating pads and slide it under the motor, a couple of tie wraps and make a diaper for the engine. Make sure it's not the type of heater that turns itself off after 30 minutes, else you need to modify that somehow! Plug it in when the nights are cold and go riding when the weather is nice.

It's been so cold this year that I want to bury my foot in Al Gore's ass. I didn't get out on the water until June. Hopefully the 15 year pause in global warming stops over the winter and we get some better weather next season.

Put a glass of water outside and see if it freezes. Stop the panic, it will take more than a quik drop to 32 for a few hours to freeze up a jetski.
