Have owned our 93 SPX since new. Several batteries and a small muffler fix... that's it.
Till now. Just lost the ability to start it... perhaps the starter.... duh. Or maybe the relay.
That's why I'm here... cool that there is so much info available... Thanks

does it do anything at all when you press the start button?

Yes... it clicks. Thought originally it might be the charging system since it ran fine all day. On last start it was like the battery was low but started then ran for 10 minutes until I bailed on a huge cross wake. After I got back on it was dead. Changed batteries on the dock... to a questionable battery. Nothing. Brought it home and charged the battery (one month old) Measured voltage at the battery terminals 12.89VDC. Just clicks so now I'm checking out this site and borrowed service manuals from a friend but haven't had time to dig in any further. Thanks for your reply. This site looks great.

Hi & welcome to the forum.

Try jumping the 2 connections on the solenoid in the Ebox.....
If the starter cranks the motor then it "could" be a bad solenoid

if it starts after charging the battery, measure the voltage across the battery while the ski is running to make sure your charging system is working. Should read 14V or so. If it doesn't start, try jumping the solenoid as SDB mentioned, if it starts then bad solenoid. Otherwise, have your battery load tested at your local auto parts before going further.
