Since there seems to be a lot of popularity with people posting their towing vehicles, I figured I'd start this thread so people can post their other rides they are proud of.

I'll start it off with my former vehicle that I sold a couple years back, a C5 Z06. I definitely miss this car!

My other ride..
96 Dakota Sport that I bought brand new when I was 18.
It started out life as a stock v6 5 spd and has gone thru a few different stages and motor swaps.

Last build was a low comp 360 with a Vortech S/C, made close to 500 at the tires. Its now getting a turbo and looking to make 600+ at the wheels.

1968 Camaro Convertible...

I've attached a pix of my 1968 Camaro convertible. For those of you who have heard me talk about building my 350 cu.in. engines, this was my second and most fav of the bunch that I did.

I got this car when I was in the 10th grade for $650 bucks. I had it for over 20 years before deciding to sell it. It fetched a price of $15,000 bucks......

My first car was a 1963 Chevy Impala S/S with the 283 engine. I built a 327 for it.

I wish I still had my Camaro though........the guy in front is my dad and the pix was taken because I had just bought some new rims for it..........don't laugh, those rims were cool back in my day..........

Wow some of you guys really put some heart and soul into your cars. I'm impressed!

Maybe we need a subforum on here for automotive.

Web link to my website of the ongoing buildup of my Maverick. Originally my wife's great grandmothers, but when she passed away, it sat in a barn for a year or so, and I offered to buy it. Like Snipe, I paid right at $650 for it.

Needs interior finished and then paint. Then a tranny rebuild. New 5.0 motor bored over .040 with big roller cam and roller rockers, GT40 heads, headers, spooled 3.80 rear, subframe connector, Cal-Trac bars, bunch of other goodies. Attic is full of straight body panels to put on just before paint.

Thunderkat...what heads, and what are the specs on that cam? 5.0? I am trying to get a general idea of my hp/tq ratings without running it on a dyno. Still running stock original tranny and am afraid to nail it hard until I get it rebuilt.

I have had a lot of Mustangs, so I am gonna guess his still has the 4.6 in it. Ford switched to a modular built motor in 96 and used them until 04, making it a 4.6 They no longer use a pushrod based motor, so really there are 2 cams. Whole different ball game than the 5.0's.

Thanks RFoster, I didn't know they started the 4.7 that early on.

I am not a Ford guy, and only got this car because it needed someone to take care of it.

It was a 4.6 32valve DOHC bored to a 5.0 with a stroker kit
I had the heads ported and polished as well as the upper and lower intakes..
Before it was all said and done I had basically every bolt on mod possible for the module motor from Pullies to Suspension, to full exhaust headers, off road X, SLP catback.I could go on for days.. I really miss that car...

As for cams, I replaced the stock cams (4 total) with SHM N/A cams, the car had some crazy lope... sounded like the car was trying to die every cycle, almost like a old classic boat in the water...

my neighbor has a sweet 02 ford lightning svt, custom paint job, purple with whitish- grey lightning bolts... has some sweet rims to, and very loud... will post pics within the next few days
