Yea, that's the thing with living over here, the only freshwater I know of is a big lake about 2 hours inland from here.. Otherwise it's just the gulf or sarasota bay or Tampa bay around here.. There may be some other lakes closer but none that I know of where jetskis ride. I think there's some sort of wakeboard park in Orlando but even that's like 2 hrs away.. I know there's myakka river over here, but that's infested with gators

Well, now I know why Braley LOVES saltwater skis so much... Put it this way, if anyone needs to lose 20 lbs of fat and gain 10lbs of muscle in one nite, come on by!

Bro you don't even want to know.. It took a good 5-10 min per bolt using a 2 1/2 breaker bar..

Not even close to done. Two other bolts snapped and I still got like 3 or 4 left

yea, definitely true.
That's the thing with working on ANY motorized machine...Half the battle is having the right tools...trust me, with every single twist, I was wishing for an impact wrench.

Come on man, that's no fun! I GOTTA SEE WHAT HAPPENED INSIDE here.. I WILL be in it tonite for sure

Ok this is what I would do, buy a case of beer and don't stop until the beers gone or it's broken down.

This thing is NOT coming off. Is it supposed to separate here or here? Just say top or bottom because my brain is toast by now

So I have a
Total of 3 bolt heads that snapped off, regardless, they aren't threaded thru the head so this head should still Pop off right? I don't know WHAT was used to put this head on, but I just used a breaker bar, a 2x4, and it still hasn't budged. Any ideas? Bout to hit it with a sledgehammer lol

The head is most likely corroded to the broken bolts.

Yea well more chunks of metal came off last nite also.. Although the rear cylinder wasn't blown, it looked like it was starting to have a bulge like the front cylinder.. Although my beeper works(I test it after every run), I have a feeling this thing got kinda hot for it to bulge like that.., that, along with not just the corrosion when I took the head bolts out, but actually a bit of wet sand on some of the threads. I bet this motor is loaded with sand, even with being flushed and fogged religiously after EVERY run.. 1of500 thanks for all of the help.. It's nice to bounce ideas off of someone outside of the situation. Thanks bro

I was going to say check for a blockage somewhere in the cooling loop. It looks like the metal split from over heating or corrosion build up.. or a combination of both. I've seen quite a few busted in the exact same manor as yours but they were all caused by water freezing and expanding.

I'm surrounded by alligators. The small ones show themselves but every now and then I spot a HUGE one sliding in as I jet by. At night you can spot red eyes near the weeds everywhere. Don't forget the deadly serpents, sharks and sting rays!(not kidding or exaggerating) I hate the risk but it's a beautiful part of the earth. I use it as motivation to keep my skis running REAL good!
