Corsons Inlet at 8:15am I've already been out for over an hour. Great morning for a ride!

YES! I want to see the go pro in action. Sure seems like you like riding that HX alot, the poor XP doesnt even get any use it seems :(

Man I love my hx, I'm riding it right now. Just took my nephew out for his first seadoo experience ever and slapped him on the XP. He had a grin from ear to ear.

That's salt water, Atlantic ocean. You land lockers have the salt water hang up, I could careless about the salt. The inlet is ripping today, but I'm not on the XP.

No gopro today, I already lost one of the bracket screws last night.

Here's one of my first gopro videos, this is straight from the memory stick, zero editing. Sorry for the no wake zones. My son was on with me for the ride and I put him through some abuse from the chop.

I'll fix the link if it doesn't show up, but hopefully it does.

I have a ton of questions on this gopro. It's a hero 3 silver edition. I think this was shot in 1080 @ 30 fps.

The great adventurer - nice video! The picture quality is excellent. May have to look at getting one now that I venture further from shore :). I was out Sunday and hammered it like to mentioned last week....ran well. Be safe.

WOW!!! I have not been on this forum in a long while - probably since the day the first picture on this post was taken as the two skis were trailered away. I was clearly in WAY over my head. While other reasons made me realize I did not have the time to do these two skis right, I now realize I made the right decision to pass them on. Dan is the Man.

Doing a little powder coating tonight. Not sure how it's going to turn out, fingers crossed. The nozzles and trim rings are a much nicer aluminum for powder coating for some reason. So I figured I'd start with the worst so my night can hopefully get better. My powder oven display blew out today so now that oven is junk, but I had another oven in stock, LOL. I just was so used to my old set up and how it reacted to open a door etc... that this one is a little different in reaction time. But as long as it sticks and is black and sorta looks good I guess I'll have to take it.

Powder is on and in the oven. Should be ready to pull in about 20 minutes.

It finally cooled enough where I could handle it. It looks pretty good. The under side not to much, unfortunately where there is pitting in the aluminum it looks rough but I would have had to fill and sand all those little pock marks. It's gonna look sweet on the hull for sure! The flame arrestor mount, trim ring and nozzle are currently in the oven.

I might need to re take these pics, they look like garbage.

If you look close enough you can see me snapping the pic with my phone

Wow they turned out great. Will you put a clear on there afterwards or is that not needed with powder?

Thanks Kicker, it's gonna look sick when it's all back together.

I usually clear the parts just to really make them pop, gives them some depth. But actually on these, nope. They are very close to the original black so I decided not to. Now, just like the originals they will fade from the UV over time, the clear is like another layer of protection. Wait until I get the nozzle pics up here in a short bit. The intake grate is baking right now.

More parts, last run for the night. The grate just finished but I'm less than thrilled with it. They use a heavier type of cast I guess, and when you powder it, it gets like goose bumps all over it. The nozzles on my Speedster did the same exact thing. I even out gassed these parts and it still looks like chit. Oh well, it's black and coated and will be on the under side.

Man you go above and beyond for sure. It looks great. This is making your 96 xp look like a semi resto, which we all know is far from the truth.

Thanks JSG, my goal was to top the 96 and up the bar for myself. Honestly, I can't wait to finish it.

Maybe just found another little difference on the 95 XP800's.

The pump extension on the 95 XP720 skis are aluminum. The one on the XP800 is plastic, maybe to save weight?

Dan, the parts came out very nice! Curious, what powder coating unit do you use? I never considered power coating but the results and durability have me thinking for the next project.
