Wanting to wire a double trailer through the inside of the frame.

i'm sure there has been a thread on this but I didn't see it in the first two pages so what the hell, i'll ask.

shortcuts on how to wire trailer thru the inside ? in the past i've always been lucky to have the old wire inside, and tied it off and pulled the new wire thru. now I have to run about 20 feet around a curve, and i want to go inside, and avoid the stupid zip ties all the way around.

besides tying the wire to a guinea pig and put food on the other end... what are your suggestions ?

the trailer is pre drilled with the holes already, i just need to figure if there is a snake kind of setup that can be used, just looking for idea's. and I figured it might make a decent discussion

My father created a machine that would test under ground pipe for leaks. It could narrow it down to within three feet. Saved MILLIONS of dollars as the entire pipeline didn't named dug up to find the leak.

The only catch was,,,, you had to run a 1/4 cable through the pipe some how.

What we did was, tie a small boat fender to kit string and then turn on water and let it flow the fender through the pipe. Once we got the string we hooked up the cable and pulled it back through.

Maybe you can something like this on a smaller scale. Maybe a bobber in the tongue area followed by a garden hose ????

Electrician's Phish Tape, don't leave home without one. It's a long coil of stiff straight springy wire rolled onto a spool, and a hook bent into the end for taping your wire to, a very strong wire you can pull on to pull cables through conduit, and even around a few corners.

thx guys for the suggestions, i knew this was going to work.

I'm going to try out measuring tape just to humor myself, but not sure if there is enough room to get it in/out,
if not,,, off to harbor freight,,, its worth the small investment, and then i'll have "another" tool for use down the line.

String and a Baggie on the end of it. Stuff it in the first hole and blow it to the back with an air compressor. That's how I've done frames on cars in the past.

went to HF last night, bought the 50' snake (w/coupon !) cheap enough, and funny, it came with a free tape measure !

i'm going to try it out after the weekend when I have time to mess with it. :)

lol...

translated in Spanish ?
