I have a 2008 GTI 155SE and trying to complete the winterazation on it. I have the manual and have done everything except the antifreeze in the manifold. The manual has a more specific actions for the 215 and 255 with the intercooler. I called the closest dealer to me ( 5hours away) They won't give me any info because they were sued last year when a customer put it in the wrong port and cracked his motor when it froze. The manual shows one port and says location can vary. Trying to get this done for the customer and out of my shop. Any input would be greatly appreciated

My friend has the same ski, ill see if i can check it out to make sure specifically. Since it is a closed loop cooling system though, a lot of people dont even add the antifreeze. They just use compressed air to blow it out and the leave it. I know that is what my friend does.

I find it kind of alarming though you are doing this for a "customer". Someone is paying you to look on the internet on how to winterize their ski?

LOL....I was thinking the exact same thing when I read that!!! If your a shop charging people money for work and you need to come on a forum to figure out how to do a pretty simple thing....god help the people you service!!

Never said i was charging him. I work on his Harley Davidson. Hence the hoggmech. It also makes him one of my customers. Doing him a favor since the closest dealer is 5 hours from us. So before you go assuming things about me or my technical ability you should know the facts. I will be the first to admit i am not familar with PWC. Thats why i am on the internet forum asking. Give me a Harley and thats a different story. Yet I seem to forget that you all are just gods in whatever is aked of you. My mistake.

I must be mistaken, I've always thought a friend you didn't charge, a customer you charged. My bad.

Didn't say he was a friend. I work on his Harley. Therefore he is a customer. Not charging him because its helping us both out. Called customer relations. The little bit of time it is costing me will pay 10 fold with the work on his bikes, and the referals of the people he tells.

If you have a manual, then you already know the 2008 Seadoo Shop Manual says to use compressed air at the flushing connector to blow water out of exhaust manifold. However, I would also run "pink" antifreeze through the system to ensure any residual water in system will not cause any damage. I'd rather use $5.00 worth of antifreeze than replace the $600 exhaust manifold.

I'm with Greg on this one. The 155 4-tec (non supercharged) engines are supposed to be self draining which means you technically do not need to do anything special to the exhaust cooling system but I error on the side of caution and always pump pink RV antifreeze through the system to be on the safe side. Here is a tread I wrote a few months ago which goes into detail a bit more on the proper procedure. Also I will try to add a picture of the equipment I use.

You will also find all sorts of information from other posts if you search the forum for 'winterization'.

Since you have the manual I assume you know about all the other things to inspect and lubricate. I would definitely take the pump cone off to make sure the jet pump bearings are in good shape, lubricated and not contaminated with water. Other than that you should be good to go, the 155's are fairly easy to winterize. Let us know if you have any other questions, good luck!

Ya know...im right most of the time..but sometimes i am wrong. I will be the first to admit it. If your really just helping someone out then thats pretty cool of you. Guess i shouldnt assume because someone is a customer that they are paying. Hope you accept my apology for assuming. I checked my friend's out and he just uses the flush port on the rear. Like i said in my first post and others have confirmed, all you really need to do is blow it out with air.
