Winter in the Northern Hemisphere is time for the rebuilding projects.

Mine for the GTX are:
Install inline fuel filter, change oil filter, clean Rave valves, Grease PTO fitting, change my pump oil (last done in end of 06 when bought), replace beeper and hopefully replace the post and/or start/stop switch.
and last but not least I hope to watch or help someone rebuild an engine, unless I find a junky one to work one.

What is your project????

The GTI was going to be my winter project ... But it's good to go. I'm thinking of adding a tower to my speedster with integrated Bimini top. We'll see how the extra cash flow is though. Other than that I might finish my basement and make a man cave.

My winter project will be pulling and rebuilding/replacing the motor in my little 94 XP water scooter. Not exactly looking forward to that, seems there are a few "special tools" I don't own... yet.
- groans -

check with Dr Honda, he manufactures and sells his own tool sets and may have what you need

hmmm....i dunno what else to do to the boat. i have thought about adding a couple more speakers. That would be about it. Sometime next month we will have a newborn baby to keep us busy for the winter.

putting new batteries in the remote control, because my ass is going to be planted firmly in the recliner until March. Burr, I hate cold weather.

I'm in jetski mode till about Halloween, then they get put away and its snowmobile mode for me. I bought a new chassis last year b/c mine is so beat up. So I have to basically rebuild my sled from the ground up..its a 02 Pro-x 440 w/ a 800. New chassis is an 03.

I do have a bunch of repairable jetskis to put together this winter...99GSXL, 97 XP, and a 96 XP.

My project.? Getiing cousin Jakes arse unglued from the seat.He has to help me with all the prizes an stuff that can't be won on ASK JAKE and LOU .You don't just pull a Kangaroo or crocodile outta your bum.I might have to go down the backyard a bit further to find these things.

Winter projects

New to the forum, first time posting, Hello everyone.

Bought 2000 GTX Millinium and 2002 GTX DI both projects but bought them for the price of the Shurlander trailer sit on.
The 2000 needs mpem, motor mounts, and other minor stuff, has great compression.
The DI overheated on 1st ride and blew a cylinder, alarm didnt go off, just didnt think to test that before riding, lesson learned. Anyway looking forward to tinkering this winter, first time rebuilding a jet ski, have done a few dirt bikes with success.

Mate.Don't worry to much.Guys here will help you step by step.Keep it simple, post some pics and the help will come. They helped me do a gtx ltd and it now goes pretty damn good

Damn son, show your elders some respect. Even my lil brother Lou, calls me Mr. Pu$$y.

Now make sure ya visit "Ask Jake and Lou (and Crisss)" and git some free beer and popcorn for while ya watching the football game.

Keith sent the upholstery already so it looks like that's my next project. A small gel coat repair between the intakes to the pumps and one wear ring needs replaced. Boat going up for sale in the spring... on to bigger and better next season! Gotta have a project, right?

I don't have a winter project yet. All my toys are running.... so... I guess I'll just drink heavily until spring comes.

Superneil - 58 Dodge truck....cool...is it a p/u or a panel.

If your talking about the bed, Im going with wood paneling...I think it just looks sweet.. Ill post some pics when I take some...

Actually i meant the type of truck.
but you answered that by stating the type of bed you'll install.

I just love the 55 & 56 Chevy Nomads

2000 gti bought used this summer was in worse shape than i thought. Putting in new flywheel, generating coil, piston rings, wear ring and while i have it apart im gonna put on a solas impeller for fun. Hopefully that will be all for acouple years.
