RXP x missing boot?

Last year I had my 08rxp x 10hr service and the tech told me I had lost an $8.00 "rubber boot" I forget the name but it was to keep a lithium lube around the prop shaft I think he said, but he told me it's not that important and they had none at the shop to replace it to remind them when I make appt next so they have it. Now I have 24 hours on the and no service "planned" anytime soon (hope....hope). Does anyone know what this may be and if it is time to plan another service appt?

Sounds like the dust cover on the shaft. On the boat I know many people take them off and leave them. They end up broken at some point so a lot of people dont replace them. Should be the same on the ski.
