Is everyone just as confused as me on this? Weird that its getting the required compression when running, I would think the compression would be the same the whole way around, but what do I know?

Yeah, same here. I had to hook the gauge in one cylinder and the other with the sparkplug installed to have the right reading. 122psi at MAG / 130psi at PTO. Before that, it was reading 68/75psi...

Are you providing spark to the plug that you left in during the compression test?

The correct way to check compression on any ski is......
1. Fully charged good battery.
2. Spark plug wires grounded.
3. All plugs in the hole except the cylinder being tested at the time.
4. Throttle wide open.
5. Crank until the needle stops climbing

Throttle wide open after the key is on but before cranking is a big one on a DI when checking compression. This shuts off the air/fuel injectors while cranking. You should get long beeps while cranking as well.
