Irish, if you have a minute would you be able to take three measurements of your ladder? I have attached a picture of the three areas. However, the middle measure 12.25 I need it to be inbetween the upper pipes not the lower pipes.
Thanks
Eddie
I won't be home again til 23rd I can do it then for you.
I found a 1997 Challenger 1800 on craigslists being parted out. Got the measurements for both boats. 1 3/8" between bolts forward to aft. 10 1/4" from Port inner bolt to STBD inner bolt and 16 1/2" between Port outer bolt and STBD outer bolt. With that the ladder bolted right one.
Irish, thanks for the offer to measure, but I am set now.
Eddie
Do you have the link to the boat being parted out? Was there anything good on it?
How does Fiberglass rot on the outside?
It's a shame that people buy a good boat/ski/car/whatever and then just lets it sit and rot out.
Yeah, you're prolly right that it's the same mount. It is weird that sd would have 2 different mounts and ladders manufactured (maybe because I have the Challenger X20). No biggie though, I won't have to drill/fill since I can use the big mounts I have now with the straight arm ladder they sent me. Of course they charged me an xtra $50 for straight arm ladder, which is BS! I wanted to have the extra 4-5 inches that the curved ladders allows for. I'll just return the curved one from WL when you confirm you have small mount. Thanks for your help w/this and have a good Turkey day.
You bet. It was an exact replacement for the original ladder on my X20. As others have said, the X20 has a straight ladder, not the curved end.
It just took me a bit to figure out how to knock out the crimped ends and it worked great.
I tell you what, I wasn't sure if one more rung would help at all until this past weekend. We got the boat in the water finally, and that extras step was great! it makes a world of difference for us fat guys!
If you are debating it, just do it. A great improvement, and it should have been on there to begin with.
