Locking vts permanently at a specific angle

Ok so my ski (94 GTS) doesn't have vts, but my new pump does. I need to lock the pump straight. What angle of degree would you lock it? Slightly down, 5 degrees? 10? I don’t know what degree they lock them at for non vts ski’s but I'm building a bar to hold it in place and just need to know what angle to put it.

I did read this thread:

But my gts is HUGE compared to an XP so I don’t think it needs an aggressive down angle with the 587 pushing it. I’m thinking halfway down.

I made a lockout by welding some rebar and angle together. I think I’m good with where it’s at.

If you pull a tube, a skier, or ride in very wavy waters, I would aim the nozzle down to help prevent cavitation.

You know it would be much easier to just get the correct pump nozzle for your ski without the trim.
