Is that really necessary?!?!

My mechanic put zip ties underneath the bellows on the rave valves. (SEE PICS BELOW) Is that really necessary? Or does it even help at all? Doesnt say anything in the manual about doing that.

Id even wonder (in my imagination) if the 'up and down' movement of the bellow against the "lock" point on the zip tie, being sharp as they are, would eventually puncture the bellow - maybe not

Is this good, or should I remove?????

Never seen that. Furthermore, if I DID use zip ties, they would be much smaller than those.

Never seen a reason to need them.
