Hey Guys! I'm Back and thinking about buying a couple Seadoos.

What do you guys think? After selling the two seadoos last season I am so jealous when i see somebody flying by on their seadoos... So I'm thinking about buying new ones. The 3 seater is a 97 i think... I hope. The XP isn't starting but I'm guessing its a solenoid issue like the last 96 xp i bought.

The first one check the pto by hand, pull the plugs, and make sure the engine spins. As long as the engine isnt locked up thats a deal.

The GTS...it isnt all that much fun but as long as its a 720 (I think 97 and on were) If it starts in the driveway Id say worth it.

Lol don't assume anything, assume only that it is a parts machine. Hope for the best

That's good advice. I was really lucky last season with the three I bought. Was only a fuel and solenoid issue.

Personally I would pass on the GTS, it's gonna be a real dog compared to the 96XP. You can't go wrong for $500.00 including the trailer.

Thanks Lou. I was thinking about passing on the GTS. Not that I dont want it but I figure it would be hard to re sell if I needed to. The xp on the other hand I know will sell quick. I figure the only reason the xp is still unsold is because it wont start. Not a big deal with the wealth of knowledge on this site.

I would at the very minimum check compression.

Definitely going to bring the old compression tester and a battery so they cant say, "Oh, I forgot to charge it. Runs great if the battery was charged." I actually had my heart set on a 800cc gtx but people are asking a lot for them.

Yeah I forget what they needed...driveshaft? they did buy it.

I would agree on the GTS, but for $500 that trailer is worth close to that up my way. That and its a 720, is essentially a 96 GTI. Not the funnest machine, but for the $$ it would be a good GF ski.
