Hi guys, I am new to jetskis, and forums. I picked up a 97 gtx 3 seater. I'm starting to work on it and I noticed that when I attach the "key" I get no life from the gauges or the audible beeps.
No response from the 2 buttons on the steering wheel.
I have 1 thick red wire at the battery positive and 1 thick and 1 thin black wire at the negative 12.5 volts. The 2 fuses in the front electrical box are good, It cranks really well. I don't know if it will run like that (no fuel in it and waiting on the hose adapter) I wanted to go through and clean the fuel system but electrical strikes first. It's been outside with no cover on the gauges. Speedo and tac are cracked and info is faded and sunburned.
I guess I just wanna verify that they should come on after the key is attached and there isn't another button I need to hit. Then I'll start looking for a schematic for the gauges.
