So I'm dropping off a couple bags of clothes at Goodwill today and I look over and see a 97SPX on a trailer! The guy says "all that stuff has to go through Tallahassee". I walked right in and talked to the store manager who confirmed that anything titled goes to their Tallahassee lot where they take the vehicle donations.

I told him they have there buyer right here. He told me he would call the lady and see if we can work it out. I offered $400 and he took my #, fingers crossed.

Matt, I think you spend more on Seadoos/seadoo stuff per month than most of us here pay on mortgages/rent. I think we need an intervention. Lol

$9,000 used spark ?
Do they even cost that much on the Factory Floor ?

Well the 2UP base model which is literally like just a frame, not even a small storage container, is $4,999 but that's without the $600 delivery fee, trailer, Reggy, etc, but Ive seen the 3UPHO get up to about $7500-$9000 with fully customized graphics, etc...so for the guy to have almost a 40 hour work week worth of hours on it, NOT the customized one, I wouldn't pay $10 g's for it.

I think the best deals on those are are buying the ones where they only have like 8 hours on it, from like an elderly person who realized that they cant hack it, and they put it up for like $4500 WITH trailer, and they've already paid the delivery/fees etc and HOPEFULLY the convenience package which includes the front storage bin, and hopefully its the 3UP and/or HO model.

Mr. "4400 Firm" when I drove by and looked at this in October.
Mr. "4000 Firm" when he re-listed this in November.
Mr. "3800 Firm" when he put it up in December
is now $3100 and removed the Firm statement.... he's almost priced reasonably now....but having looked at it, IMO it was worth about 2500 :) it needs a lot of TLC and engine was rebuilt by the owner, not a shop.

ya, the guy was a donkey when I met him the first time on a drive by..
its funny because he was so firm on his price and I told him good luck getting close to that, then he got cocky and told me it wouldn't be for sale for more than a few days because that's what its worth.

I drive by his house about twice a week and kind of chuckle every time I see it parked out there knowing that It has been out there since before Halloween.

4 millions words via BRP and yet, strangely nothing on the actual condition of this machine
nor the explanation (there is none) for the purple seat. Idiot.

It looks clean from the pic except for that purple seat. What type of TLC does it need IYHO?
Will you buy it when it hits 2500 or below?

Well I just sold both great running GSX's for $1700. They were not that pretty but had new batteries. They guy had his own double trailer and had bought a SPI from me a couple years ago. I could have held out another 60 days and brought in a few hundred more but it was a good deal for both of us and it keeps the house renovation moving along.

if I was in the market for one, and I could really push it on a test ride with success, then ya, I'd go for it.

As far as tlc it needs a solid full weekend of wet sanding from top to bottom, (at least it did in Oct), I touched it a few times when I was looking it over and checking inside the bay and when I left my hands were filthy. The fading doesn't show up in the pic's as well as it does in person.

re: being in the market: I don't have negative things to say about the GTX platform, but its not really the 4tech I'd prefer to own except maybe as a loaner ski. For a primary ride: I would prefer the RXP platform and its improved handling. I think the GTX is just a little too boring of a ride, although it would come in handy for some offshore runs since neither of my ski's handle anything over 18" of chop very well at all, I get the crap beat out of me when I hit heavy chop.
