Man we are in the middle of another Fl Classifieds story. El Toro did indeed meet up with that guy about "the sign" today for me. Thing is..... he actually had two signs, 118 long Sea Doo stickers from 96, and a few pair of Mobby gloves to sell me. Turns out the signs are bigger and heavier then we thought. Spim is checking to see if his boxes will hold it.

Thanks to these guys so much for helping. I'm ready to do whatever to make up for it.

maybe this will help. It looks like I'll be meeting up with Tim (El toro) in March then drive back to Bradenton from Lakeland. I'm not far from I-75....

Thank you for this but I've got a lot further to go with it. Perhaps Spim will put us a ride together? It's getting to be that time of year. Otherwise I don't mind doing some spending and/or driving. Let's just see how it works out.

Matt, I should be up in the Gainesville area in the next few weeks and could possible make it to Lake City, if that is a workable option for you.

I have a kid up in Gainesville so she could hold onto the boxes until arrangements could be made but If I understand correctly, that's still quite a distance to niceville, like 300 miles, she might have a reason to head to tallahassee which cuts that in half, but at some point, I think its probably easier to use fedex rather then shuffling the boxes around 3 different times.

I actually like the idea of arranging a ride, I've been looking for a good excuse to head north for a weekend ride, the Swanee was "ok" but nothing special that I just have to go back to.

my yamaha might be sold as of this afternoon, waiting to see if my buyer returns with the money, he was drooling over the ski, but couldn't get to a bank to get the extra cash b4 they closed. supposed to come back today with trailer & a wad of cash.

In the meantime, toro, just bring it all down here I'll ship what's easy to ship along with some other parts we've discussed, and figure out the hard stuff when I find the right boxes.

what's the deal on the Mobby gloves ? I've heard of them but never had a pair on. I just wear padded fingerless weightlifting type gloves now.

also... 120 stickers ? there has to be a resale opportunity there !

Two really cool old dealership signs and a bunch of long stickers.

He put some gloves in the deal for me. Mobby's was a maker of gloves, wet suits and dry suits. They made high quality gear for watersports and sponsored some Seadoo riders in the mid 90's.

My parents live down in the Gainesville area so I could meet someone there over a weekend. GLWS Spim.

yamaha sold.... guy just drove away with it, kind of sad.

I've had 2 ski's since 2011. But daughter wasn't planning on coming back to visit until the summer at best, it seemed silly to hold onto a spare just for that.

so what do I do with this empty thing... ?

time to start shopping, and take the <$1000 filter off the search feature :)

Well, spimmy, if you've got a double trailer, I'd gladly take it off of your hands for some wampum or schillings...lol

actually I have a beautiful double aluminum I beam.... and need to contact oscar and see if he still has that single I beam... (that's what I really want, vs a triton)

but to be honest, I wont consider selling the I beam for any offer that doesn't have a comma in it.... and I'm quite hesitant to sell it because I still buy projects and part outs and a double comes in handy. (it actually works great for king size matresses too, lol)
