Agree, if economically viable it wouldn't need taxpayer support. It has increased food costs in the name of global warming, if you believe the global warming lie.
One other thing...... With the cost of 87 being $1.95+/- how is "E-anything" competing right now?
There is no way they can make E85 for $2 per gallon is there? I thought it was tough to produce at $3 per gallon. Everybody banked on us never seeing $3 per gallon again.. I hope the pricing trend is like like HP in the late 70's. Everybody thought it was gone forever. Probably not like that, but we can dream.......
If it wasn't for climate change, Minnesota would still be covered in 600 feet of ice. Fossil fuels is a misnomer, the crude oil comes from the lush prehistoric forests that were buried eons ago, rotted underground remains of giant prehistoric trees, bushes, shrubbery, etc. that existed on the surface at one time.
Almost bankrupted now, these biofuels producers. Beginning to look like Congress will be forced to increase subsidies for their buddies manufacturing biofuels, pretty soon underemployed Millenials will be using their iphones made from an entire array of toxic metals dug from deep in the earth to complain about the lacking requirement to use moar rewnable biofuel and rapid global warming.
You missed the point. Everyone has their hand out. I never knocked Tesla for borrowing. The government screwed up by not charging them enough interest.
Government should not be in the business of choosing winners and losers, IMO. The entire bankruptcy process was illegally circumvented and nobody went to jail for committing white collar crimes. Now shareholders are being forced to pay the legal fines and penalties on behalf of the criminals still running their con game. It makes no sense.
A politician will sell you out in a heartbeat if they can make a buck on the deal. That's why we're where we are today, "All our best thinking" got us here. They invented hubris.
