If you want to do a little check your own, pull the tank and look for the clock dial molding dates. There will be a year that reads 199 then the circle with the arrow pointing to the last digit just to the right of it. I think it's right to the right of the capacity of the tank that is molded into the tank. If that last digit is a 5 or 6 you're more than likely due for a tank. Damn, again with the date codes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Your's should be a 5

Thanks man, I'll be pulling it here in a week or so to check when I start cleaning the hull.... Gotta track down an oil tank for it as the po had it converted to premix... And yes! These date codes again!!

Might as well just make it easy and call your dealer and give them the HIN, I thought you had the tank out already. My dealer does it while I'm on the phone, they even put the skis in my name in Sea-Doo's database. I think I have 4 skis I got tanks for.

Is there a problem with this?

. Intake has the same line, but the line in the intake looks machined in there....

It was prob the demise of the first top end...as long as there arent protruding edges and the gouge doesnt go from port to port you are fine.

Thank you, and nope, no protruding edges and not port to port so that's good... I was just curious because it didn't look right... Glad it's not detrimental, will prob replace that valve anyway since I'm right there and they are cheap...

The valve was already probably replaced at some point or there would be a big ding on one of the edges on it. That one looks fine to me...

Ah well that's good to know then, guess I'll just leave it be, thanks Tonka and Reynolds

I don't know if you have calipers handy to check but if you could I would appreciate it. Send me an email or PM with what you want for it and a couple more pics if you don't mind. I would like to try one out and see how it works.

No prob at all, I don't have calipers unfortunately maybe I can use a tape measure and convert

Well I don't have micrometers but from measuring with a good ol tape it comes out at 3.45 inches which is 88mm the nozzle part is 85mm so.... I think it is the 85/88 nozzle

Hey guys gonna tear into the 95 this weekend... Got a little question before I start... Is that Skat 17/23 that's in there too tall for that stock X motor?

Also does anyone know if the choke cable for a 95 is diff than my 96?

I just got an X model a couple hours ago. I'm kinda curious myself about the value. Hopefully the fact that they are a special model won't be lost on the general public. I would play up the rarity so it does not get lost in a sea of 96XP's. Unfortunately a lot of people will just see "old pink jetski" without an explanation.

I'm in the same boat... My hope is people will understand the rarity, and believe me I will play it up.... I'm hopin to get close to $2000 but idk... Maybe be a pipe dream but hell I see 96 Xp's go for $1500 all day long! Surely this will go for a considerable amount more?
