Another Oil Question? Yamalube in Seadoo

It is clear not to use 2stroke outboard oil in the SeaDoo... I went to my local dealer and they only had Yamalube 2 stroke PWC oil and I was told it would be fine. There are no markings on the bottle to indicate what type of oil it is.

I have 2 Seadoos and both have the 587; one is premix and the other uses the oil injection. I have yet to run either of them as I am in the middle of rebuilding the top ends and replacing fuel lines.

Is yamalube suitable oil for my needs? Are there other less expensive but equal quality choices? I have heard of people using “Quick silver TC-W3” PWC/Outboard oil….

Thanks for the input.

Run the tank quite low. A lot of people say dont mix oil, but I have not had any issues as long as I got the tank low, and then not let it sit for the winter with 2 types of oil in the tank.

Honestly... I don't recommend it.

Yamaha specs an "Ashless, TC-w3" oil for their skis.

As far as the Quicksilver... no one here recommends using the TC-w3 oil... We always recommend using the synthetic "PWC" version. It is a Low-ash, API-TC oil.

If you use Yamalube in your SeaDoo... then use it at your own risk. It will not be an instant death... but it's not going to live as long as it could.

Can't seem to find a local supplier for Quicksilver API-TC, any suggestions besides online?
One shop mentioned API-TC scooter oil..... I passed.

Walmart has the quicksilver here, in both full synthetic and synthetic blend. Shorts Marine has BRP full synthetic for around 38.00 a gallon, best price I've seen.

Thanks.... Wallie World here only had the outboard; I check another Walmart.

I use the quicksilver PWC. You can also use Mystik products JT4. It can be shipped for like 25 a gallon. JMcamper has the XPS for like 38 a gallon shipped.

We have 3 Walmarts here, only one of the 3 carries the Quicksilver PWC. Happens to be the one on the way to the lake, maybe Walmart's not so dumb.
