My femur had an external break through the skin and my fib tib had breaks also through the skin. My knee cap is in about 1000 pieces and so is my ankle. I also have about 49 staples from my underwear line up to my chest.

So far I've got everything fixed with metal except my ankle, we are waiting on the swelling to go down. I'm out of ICU and I'm on a normal med surge floor.

As screwed up as your leg is, at least you still have it. They wouldn't have done all the work if they didn't feel it was worth saving.

I'm sure you are sore as hell. Glad to see you getting online, that is a good sign.

Time to trade in the Nissan for a Duramax. Car wouldn't have gone under the truck like the Nissan.shouldnt ever have to think about how a car would handle a crash like that but now it even opens my eyes and it didn't happen to me

Well a bunch of goodies showed up for the 95 today, damn this leg and 12" of missing intestine.

On a positive note the Dr said I can get as much air as I want with all this titantium in my leg. He said ill probably favor it for a few years but oh well.

I get my tib, fib and ankle titaniumed up next week and that will hopefully end the surgeries. Ill then go in a cast for a month but no weight on it for atleaast 3-4.
