Vts...
My boat is one of the few that has the VTS. It's a manual version with a cable that controls the position of the nozzle. I find it very useful when tubing, skiing or just going from idle to plane at WOT.
I agree with Karl, the price of these things can't be justified because of the short time they work. When water leaks in at the boot, they short out and have to be replaced.
Why don't you have the VTS on your GTX? I also have a 1997 GTX and really, don't think I need one.
I wondered why they didn't come with it and I think I have come up with a theory. I have noticed, the RXP's, XP's, RXT's, and other single or two seat versions are shorter in hull length, less weight and more like a sport model. Here, the VTS would be a huge benefit in control of the nose of the ski.
But, in the GTX model or any of the Luxury models (3 seat models), the length and weight of the hull I believe, would not show much difference in a nozzle poing up or down..........which now, like I said, is theory (opinion).
