That thing looks awesome. It would easily fetch $3k up here. Are you going to start working on the 96 GSX? I need some ideas on how to do mine. Need to get going, weather is improving. Saw some skis on the lake in Seattle this weekend.

Just read the whole thread, love it, great work and thanks for all the technical tips. If you were closer to me I'd be driving out to buy it right now, and I'm not even in the market for another one HA!

This is sold, got $2500 for it. The best part is it was purchased by my buddies girlfriends cousin so I will be able to ride it!!! He already ordered a new 12 gallon tank and a brand new baffle for it. So we will be pulling the motor yet one more time.

The new owner bought a new 12 gallon tank and baffle. We will be putting these in this week. So the motor is coming back out.

The next 98 we do is already sold and for $3000, now I just need to find one lol. Someone that works with RJ saw this thread and want one but with orange instead of red. Not my favorite color scheme but what he orders he will get.

Nice to see some of these reopen. I had wanted to post on my 97 xp resto a while back but it was closed. It was sold 2 more times after I sold it, it went to the otherside of the state and back. I was actually out for a ride and spotted it broke down at the dock. We went over and checked it out. Someone hacked into the electrical. We ended up taking it in as a project. Replaced the steering cable and fixed the electrical. It was kind of neat seeing it make it back to us.

We will try to keep the active restoration threads open.. the technical issue threads we close so new members aren't posting 100 questions in old threads.

He had insider information. He was busting me for not texting pics. I used the GPS on my phone to get there and sucked through my battery. Yes, I forgot my charger cord. The battery was on ! And it wouldn't allow use of the camera.
