lol,
that billet selector looks weird with the carbon fiber on the outer ring, i've only seen it with the black ring.
how's it look from a distance ?
good bad indifferent ?
I think it looks tight, I just wish I had a silver filler and not the black one. Looking at it from a distance is much nicer. I did just pick up a nice metric button head at the shop so I'll see how that looks. Or I might just use a socket head cap screw(allen screw) and make a spacer on the lathe so that the head will be all the way to the outside. What really got my goat was the fuel selector on the HX is clocked different so I will have to do a little leg work to get that one correct. I tried rotating the selector on the HX but it hits the gas tank. If you look in my HX thread on the last pic of the buffing you'll see the fuel selector spot on it where I filed a new index notch.
Although I think a CF hood would look awesome on there, it probably would be rediculous to try it with all those curves. I say maybe throw a decal or something up on/ by the hood and call it good. That thing is clean, was it an original from a 95 XP?
Yep it was from a 95 XP800, and no I will not put any stickers on it. The only decals that would ever go on it would be the correct decals that would be on a 95 XP800 hood like on this one.

How do you like how well the pad flows into the hood? The first time I put that style pad and hood togethor I was shocked how well it looked. I am shocked seadoo never did it themselves.
Bastard was supposed to send me one...![]()
Is this the bracket that holds the pad and cover that I bought and can't get it to fit correctly? I want one of those brackets too. Guess I'll have to wait or figure it out. I have the Styrofoam duct taped onto the handlebars... the pad is just reupholstered and the cover painted. They are sitting in the garage.
Racerxxx your restore is awesome man.
