787 Seadoo into Kawasaki SX or X2

Ive got a 787 lying under my work bench ive been thinking about dropping into a kawasaki pole ski ( SX650 or X2 ). I would like to get this motor running, without the electronic black boxes. Can I put the kawasaki electrics onto the seadoo motor, probably only need the flywheel trigger pick up adapted.

Has anyone got a 787 motor running without a MPEM?

Nope... the 800 engine needs the MPEM. It talks "Digitally" to the CDI. But... it's a carb'ed engine. Hang a basic, universal CDI ignition on it... and I'm sure you can get it to run.


The 720 engine can run on it's own, but the MPEM is it's rev-limiter.
