2013 gti flush port, runnin antifreeze thru

So I hook up a plain old garden hose to the flush port on my 2013 gti 130 and run the hose into a bucket of anti freeze. i started up the engine and waited a lil bit and it didnt seem to be drawing antifreeze thru the hose. what am i doing wrong?

i did try puttin it in forward, didnt give it gas at all tho. am i not waiting long enough? maybe should i hold the bucket up more lvl (rather then leavin it sit directly on the ground) so gravity isnt workin against me?

any input would help me out greatly. thanks guy!!

Use gravity to your advantage. The best way to do it is to use a cheap bilge pump and attach it to the hose. Start the ski then run the pump in a bucket if antifreeze till you see it coming out the other end.

I cut a piece of hose 3' long then use a transmission funnel to run the antifreeze through.

Yea Im pretty sure it isnt going to draw it through. Gonna need to force it through (gravity is enough)

The flush port is not a vacuum or "pulled" port. It requires the pressure from the hose (city water) to get into the engine..

So either use gravity or a bilge pump..

Gravity is indeed my friend! I ended up useing a garden hose and funnel and was able to get the antifreeze flushed thru!

Lol I have bad luck so trial and error is a big part for me, especially basic maintenance. I refuse to pay the dealer an arm, leg, and first born to work on my ski.

What's the issue with your 2011 gti man? Being a guy who owns two 2013 gti 130's reading that post scares me a lil bit man.
