I found somebody who's selling his '08 RXT with only 25 hours (surprised me too) so I'm going to test ride it in about a week when he's available. I was just wondering if anyone on here can tell me something-- beyond the basics-- about it, from how it rides to anything else I'd need to know if I decided to buy this one. The only similar PWC I've rode was a 2005 RXP and I really enjoyed it.

It will have a Super Charger (SC) as well. Officially the 08 was the year they no longer had ceramic washers. The reality is, MANY of the 08 skis did and do have the ceramic washers.. If it does have them, they need to be replaced with the updated metal washers.. If not, the ceramic breaks of and can easily destroy the engine.

I have the 09 version with the 255 SC engine.. I LOVE the ski,,,, Makes me smile every time I hit the throttle..

Should add that he said it was the "wake edition" even though I haven't found anything about an RXT wake edition. I know it's the RXT by matching up the pictures but I figured this was worth noting.

I'm assuming you're referring to the washers in the super charger? Just want to be clear.

I have seen some sellers advertise non wake edition skis as wake editions just because it has the ski pole installed. Best thing to do is take a gps of some sort and ride it. Should hit 64-66ish and turn at least 7700 rpm. Mine will pull that in humid ky heat. Its crazy there is my 07 rxt, an 08 rxt, and a 07 gtx limited all with various hours and we all loose and gain the same amount of rpm depending on the weather.

Yeah he clarified that it has the ski pole which he installed himself

The RXT should be a 3 seater while the RXP you rode was a 2 seater. The length and weight difference make the RXT a tad less nimble as the RXP but you would never think the 3 seater wasn't a sport model the way it rides. Tons of power to do what you want to do with it.

My biggest suggestion is to find out how it's been stored, what water it has been in most (fresh or salt?). May not matter depending where it's located obviously. But worth asking.
